Tesla Slashes UK Leasing Prices Amid 60% Sales Plunge
Tesla has dramatically reduced leasing prices in the UK following a 60% year-on-year sales drop in July 2025. The Model 3 now leases for £252 per month, down from £600–£700, while the Model Y's monthly cost has fallen to £377–£400 from around £700. Automakers are offering leasing firms discounts of up to 40%, with savings passed directly to consumers.
Overcrowded stockyards and excess supply have forced Tesla's hand. The company registered just 987 new cars in July, compared to 2,462 the previous year. While the broader UK car market saw a 5% dip, Tesla's decline reflects brand-specific challenges beyond weaker consumer spending.
